Re: Vanish to Michigan
Quotes and Scene Summary
Two bulldozers park next to each other on US-25 in LaSalle, Michigan. Sirens wail in the distance. A red Bel-Air passes the bulldozers, following police. In the distance, a news truck arrives.
Man: Oh, look, NBC News has arrived at this community.
[from a helicopter]
Pilot: [on megaphone] You're going down hardcore, man!
Five hours earlier at a halfway house in Springfield, Illinois, the same Bel-Air pulls up. A few minutes later, it flees the scene. A few miles to the east, an officer talks on the radio "Illinois State Police, there is a red 1957 Chevy heading east from Springfield from a halfway house."
Trooper: Heading towards Champaign.
[cut to the Indiana border]
Trooper 2: Roger that.
[cut to Bel-Air heading onto rural highway]
Trooper: Headed towards Indiana heading wrong way on the highway. Time to call in the Indiana State Police.
The Bel-Air speeds up fast on the highway, nearly hitting vehicles, including a Kenworth. 15 miles later, the car exits the highway and back onto country roads.
Tooper: Force drivers to pull over if they are in your way.
Trooper 2: Okay.
Suddenly, the car heads towards a construction truck "Centerline Painting In Progress. Please Drive Elsewhere." Fresh new dashed white centerlines are painted. The truck pulls over, but the driver forgets to turn the painting off and so, the centerline becoms crooked. The chase goes over it, but both troopers loose control.
Trooper: We lost him at the Ohio border.
Trooper 2: Call the Ohio Highway Patrol.
In Michigan, the man sees the chase and runs. The Bel-Air crashes into the bulldozers, causing them to explode.
The End.
